@jessicamiles01 Hi Jessica! I tried to DM you but couldn’t bring up your tag… I’d love to reach out as the director of Rising to the Occasion and former NSW mens reserves player to assist with your interviews and discuss pathways for boys. I can also network you with other key industry people.
@Taylaoo1@_BrittanyCarter@NRL Good point… I am worried though that these partnerships perpetuate the genderisation of sport. The public image of a sister and brother club.
A fun day of filming in the lab with @WINNews_Woll & @nathan_dart. Stay tuned to see our story featured in the lead up to the release of the men’s netball documentary “Rising to the Occassion” 🙌🏻
@x_sammy_xo What’s the difference between the Simmons (cricketer) incident and this one? I would like to look at why he was so heavily criticised, but Sam has been lauded for her interjection. I haven’t made up my mind on this one yet. I don’t particularly think what she did was necessary.
After a huge weekend for Men’s netball in England we turn our attention to Nathan and the crew who have released the trailer for their long-awaited documentary Rising to the Occasion! We can’t wait to watch this 😃🎥🍿👀 https://t.co/qZm4SSbiQx #NetballforALL#NetballFamily

@xLurch The men’s netburners are just larger versions of the women’s shoes. They are not designed to fit the shape of men’s feet. Current University studies are looking at netball shoe designs and the potential for more injury unless shoe manufacturers start designing for men’s feet.
@SocialNetball That said… a men’s league, mixed and women’s leagues would be amazing to have. We have the depth in Australia, we just need the investment. Also, a non-competitive pre-season showcase series with male, mixed and women’s teams would be fun to kick off the season!
@SocialNetball There definitely needs to be a push to include ‘all’ in the sport. The men’s side of the game is ready as an elite product. The elite male game here is much stronger than in NZ, but the culture and depth in NZ netball runs deeper. So I’m Oz, the men would outshine the women.
@NetballAust Additional funding would need to be found to develop these pathways and the elite male game… I know the men and boys wouldn’t want to take from the pie but add to it :) but male netballers certainly want these opportunities and welcome the commitment!
