@JRheinor52064@TheRickWilson Look up herd immunity. A high percentage or the population has to be vaccinated to stop the spread of the disease to protect all, including the few who legitimately can’t have a vaccine.
@JDVance So marshal law turning DC into a dictatorial police state when crime is down to the lowest point in 30 years? Yeah, it’s a major moment, alright.
@JDVance Anybody who has looked closely at the bill and at recent economic stats knows this post is full of lies. We know this is not how tariffs work. They have never worked this way.
@LeadingReport Trump doesn’t want a secure border. He wants a problem he can blame on his opponents. He wants a reason for his followers to have hate and fear their hearts.
@Travis_4_Trump I notice that somebody did a photoshop job on his neck to try to make it look like he is wearing a mask or something. And a bunch of people are falling for this ridiculous misinformation hack job.
A political trial is one where they will vote to acquit a man who set a violent mob upon them, because the benefits of doing so outweigh their obligation to the rule of law. There is no sense of duty, only political survival and self preservation.
A criminal trial is where a jury of citizens are bound by the rule of law. They may have preconceived notions and political allegiances, but something happens when faced with overwhelming facts and evidence. Most are compelled by a sense of duty to do the right thing.
So when you see Congress carry on with their performative baboonery in support of Trump, remember that a jury of people just like you, faced with threats, intimidation and the prospect of having their lives upended forever, stood firm with the rule of law and chose to do the right thing.
It is appalling and unprecedented that a former President, trying to be a future President, would demand that leaders of his party sabotage and abandon a bipartisan bill to address the border issue, asking to keep it going so he could blame the current President and take credit for "solving" it later.
Let's be clear: that is tantamount to TREASON.
It's like asking a boxer to take a dive.
It's like asking a basketball player to shave points.
It's like asking members of Congress NOT TO DO THE JOBS THEY WERE ELECTED FOR.
It's wrong for the person asking for it.
It's wrong for the Senators agreeing to it.
No matter what party you belong to, it's WRONG.
If President Obama were to ask a future Democratic Senate to blow up a bill so that a Republican President gets the blame, Republicans would be freaking the fuck out, and rightfully so.
Do your jobs, Senators.
PASS THAT BILL.
