Shooting Pikes Peak this week has been full of exciting challenges of early mornings and changeable weather. I’m excited for the next few days and Raceday on Sunday!
Go check my Sebring Recap photos on Chevrolet’s The BLOCK, this is the first time every photo featured was shot and edited by me!

The Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring is about the numbers: 24 drivers, 12 hours, 8 cars, 4 manufactures, 3 podiums and 1 winner. Mobil 1 powered teams battled from sun rise to sun set with a margin of victory of less than a second.
Battered. Bruised. Victorious. @vassersullivan snatched victory with just minutes remaining at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Congrats to everyone at @lexusracingusa on their win in GTD PRO. It's an honor to power teams like these. #readyforwhatsnext#Sebring12
If you're just chalking this up as "Lando's scared of Max", then I think you're being naive.
By this logic, was Max "scared" to replace Bottas at Mercedes and become Lewis' teammate when they were on top? Of course not, he was smart. He believed in the teams potential, he knew he'd established autority at that team, and now he's reaping the rewards for his faith. Max was patient with Red Bull for years whilst the team was close, but not able to fight for a title. Actually, their position was pretty similar to where McLaren are now, relatively speaking.
Plus, Max isn't just any old Red Bull driver, he's THE Red Bull driver. Contract til 2028, dedicated stands at the Red Bull Ring for his fans specifically, a Red Bull partnership with his Verstappen dot com Racing Team, etc etc.
Max is more ingrained into that organisation than any driver is into any other. There's a whole off-track battle that Lando would have to fight, not to mention getting on top of a car philosophy Max has been exposed to for years. Why would he go there, when he's king of his own castle at McLaren? A McLaren that's arguably the next best car. He's not running around the back in a Haas for crying out loud. 😅
