The change is in gender, but the stem is the same, the inflection may vary as a proper method of poetic emphasis changes.

The details are far more nuanced than the surface level polemic.

Quick point, did you check for the anatomical vs. armor proportions? It seemed in some of the examples that you were giving the body underneath the armor appeared pretty similar--just the armor was chonkier.

Even without the recent debacle, the phrase has negative connotations (a la Orwell), and I'm 90% confident someone there knew this. (It's Harvard, come on).

But it clearly wasn't outdated, and the professor obviously knew this. It is simply true in the common context of 2+2.
