Here’s why:
1. “many Muslims.” Who, exactly?
2. “demand.” Show the evidence.
3. “We.” Is “the West” only yours?
4. “Going back.” See #3.
5. “Their countries.” See #3.
6. “Enforce.” Who? Cite examples.
7. “Burqas.” Buzzword.
8. “Sharia.” What is it? Also: see #7.
Why is it 'Islamophobia' to point out that many Muslims demand we change how we live in the West instead of going back to their countries where they can enforce burkas and sharia freely?
I began writing this book in detention and finished it fighting a deportation order. I wrote it because testimony is one of the few things that can make injustice visible before it becomes inevitable. My hope is that anyone who reads it understands: Palestine is not the exception, it is the warning. The rights we are losing were never only ours to lose. Thank you @HenryHolt
@__Injaneb96 You’re afflicted with room temperature IQ. The man is a Muslim and it’s Eid. He’s praying with his religious community, which has nothing to do with religion’s influence on the state.
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Sonny Rollins. The Saxophone Colossus died this afternoon at his home in Woodstock, NY at the age of 95. 1/2 https://t.co/6AGmFrB7x4
@JohnCleese THAT’S NOT HOW THIS WORKS YOU DUMB BRICK. THE “MAJORITY” ARE NOT SPOKESPEOPLE AND DON’T OWE YOU ANYTHING. (THE FACT THAT THEY ARE THE MAJORITY IS THE WHOLE POINT!) THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
Frum is both out of his depth and lying about Muslims as usual. Lander beautifully recited Surah Ikhlas, one of the most famous chapters of the Quran which affirms the oneness of God. It says nothing about Christianity and is an affirmation of monotheism:

@realMaalouf Absolutely untrue. No source. No other outlet reporting it. A made-up quote by a quack on the Internet, and with the single purpose of stirring up hate.
‘I don’t hate Muslims I do hate Islam’ from the shooter’s alleged manifesto is a version of a line I have heard from the New Atheists, from the Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins types, for years.
I've been off twitter for the last few days so I'm a little late to saying this, but I'll say it anyway: Islamophobia enjoys a level of elite institutional support in a way that antisemitism simply does not. The San Diego attack should be evaluated and understood in that context.
Heartbroken to hear about the senseless shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego in California. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families.
As Americans, we must stand firmly together rejecting the senseless killing of people of faith. We truly live in dangerous and sick times.
@BrotherRasheed You spend every waking hour of your days demeaning Muslims and castigating their Islam. When violence like this happens, you don’t get to jump on this site and spit piety, as if the currency you trade in didn’t make this kind of thing possible.
@VoteRandyFine, @RepOgles, @CoachForGov, @AmyMek, @LauraLoomer, @chiproytx, we hope you're proud of yourselves for inciting so much cruelty, hate, and fear against Muslims.
You take such joy in your work.
Randy Fine, you said mainstream Muslims should be "destroyed."
Well, 5 people died today in San Diego.
Any response?
If they wanted to demonstrate, wouldn’t they have prayed at the front entrance and not around the corner and down the block? Truly Islamophobia fries brain cells.
Muslims pray facing Mecca, so this must be East. Someone can literally find this school on Google Maps and check if they’re facing Mecca. That’s it. It’s just a building.
To be clear: they’re not protesting against the sexual torture of Palestinians by Israeli authorities. They’re protesting against the NYT for reporting it.
