I'm developing a Text-Adventure/Metroidvania called Echoes of Etheria. The game Features turn-based combat, character leveling, weapon upgrades, and more!
I finished up another animation for Echoes of Etheria, the Text-Adventure/Metroidvania I'm currently developing solo in my free time. These are going to play occasionally while exploring the world.

@thomasbrushdev My mom is the sweetest woman in the world, she always gives me great life advice and does so much for me. My dad is really grouchy on the outside but he's a softie deep down, he doesn't tolerate anyone's bullshit but he has a good sense of humor.
I came across an old character design I made a couple years ago, I think it looks pretty creepy!
Not too sure if I'm going to use it for anything, but we'll see.

I took some screenshots while working on a new animation for the game I'm currently developing. Here's some early linework, finished details before coloring, and a still frame from the completed animation.

Echoes of Etheria is a Text-Adventure/Metroidvania with turn-based RPG combat that I've been working on in my free time. The game takes place in the ruins of a city long after a cataclysmic event brought on by an extraterrestrial species.

Here's an early version of the "Status" screen for Echoes of Etheria, a Text-Adventure/Metroidvania I've been developing solo set in a post apocalyptic city shrouded in darkness.

@mode7games I'm just glad I can go back to my project and not feel so worried about what's happening with the engine I chose. I feel more confident that, at the very least, I'll be able to stick with Unity until I'm ready to move onto a different project.
@Sosowski My biggest issue was with the "per install" policy, now that it seems to have been corrected I'm satisfied enough to see my current project through in Unity. Definitely going to reevaluate before my next project though, I think it's smart to do that anyways.
@delaneykingrox I think UI and menus are really underrated for the most part, a bad UI can really say a lot about a game. When it's done well, it really helps pull me into the game world and keeps me invested in what's going on.
Here's another animation for Echoes of Etheria, my upcoming Text-Adventure/Metroidvania set in a post-apocalyptic city shrouded by darkness.

@BarjiYT I personally found the UI container system to be a real pain in the ass. I'm still trying to get a hang of it but it's a struggle coming from Unity where it's a lot easier to wrap your head around.
@thomasbrushdev I'd definitely say Unity has a reputation problem. Even before recent events, there's always been a stigma associated with Unity games. This is because of the splash screen being shown on poorly made games, it should have been the other way around a long time ago.
This is an early version of the inventory screen for Echoes of Etheria, the Text-Adventure/Metroidvania with souls-like elements that I'm currently developing solo.
