HOW TO PROMPT AI LIKE A PRO
Instructions, Context, Constraints (ICC)
I have learnt different acronyms for AI Prompting
One of the best (if not the best) is the ICC acronym
It is simple and easy to understand
You can also execute it easily and get the best results from any AI platforms you use
Before I go into detail, let me explain one good tip I learnt from a Deep Research Prompting class I took
“We often prompt like we are talking to Machines (well, AI is a machine)
But the best prompts come when we talk to it like we are talking to a human”
“Say you have a Secretary Sandra, for example,
You don’t give her tasks without explaining all the context and information she needs to know to get the job done well”
To get the best results from our prompts, we have to assume we are giving Secretary Sandra a task
All the information and context required
Not “I want you to write a book for me”
Or “I want you to write 10 blog posts for my blog”
These are rigid prompts, no context
So ICC
1. INSTRUCTIONS
Always prompt for your instructions
This is where everyone is good at: you have something you want to do, you feed it to AI
Simple
KEY:
Ensure your instructions are as detailed as possible
Don’t assume, remember it’s Secretary Sandra
2. CONTEXT
What’s the backstory?
What information does the AI need to know or have for that instruction you gave it to provide the best results
KEY:
This can be a background, details about what you do or who the results you asked the AI are for
Give it the right Context
3. CONSTRAINT
What not to do
This is where you add what you don’t want
Where you limit the AI to your specifics
KEY:
Because you know AI can do and overdo
It can even hallucinate sometimes. Constraints help you to keep it in Bay
As you can see, ICC is one of the best ideas to use when prompting
It is also easy to remember (another reason I like the acronym)
P.S. Another thing I add to my prompts is the AskUserQuestions keyword, i.e
I tell it to ask me clarifying questions if it needs to
I have been able to get more personalized results with these
So yes you can also try out ICC
I will share examples shortly

Someone shared this with me and I have been reflecting on it since
The crux of the matter is this
We now have a tool at our fingertips that can 10X anything we do
A Virtual Assistant that doesn’t sleep
Are you taking advantage?
This is the question I have been asking myself
Or you are just shouting with them”
Or better reframed
How can I take advantage?
Another ad I saw said
“AI this, AI that, How many $$$ are you earning with the AI?”
The future of work belongs to those who will seize it.
Are you One of them?

I made my first million at 19. My younger brother made his first 5 million at the same age. Both through digital marketing and PR. No trust fund. No luck. Just skills that anyone can learn.
Here’s what most people get wrong: they think you need to be special. You don’t. You need to understand how attention works online and how to turn that into value for businesses. We learned by doing, failed fast, and adapted faster.
My brother didn’t wait to be older or more experienced to beat my record. He started with what I learned, added his own edge, and executed relentlessly. That’s the blueprint. The opportunity is there. The only question is whether you’ll take it.

HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED AS A FREELANCER IN 2025
“I have lost motivation. Is there any word you can say, anything you can do to motivate me”
Sandra said to me in all sincerity; I smiled 😊
Does this sound familiar?
Have you found yourself in this position?
Here are 5 TIPS for you.
First, one important point we need to agree on is that Freelancing has its own advantages and disadvantages
And one of its drawback is instability and rollercoaster
As a freelancer, you need to be prepared for this
Be in the right mental space so you won’t be taken by surprise
So let’s dive in
What did I tell Sandra? I told her 5 things
1. What’s your WHY?
Why are you doing freelancing?
Is it for extra income or you want a different lifestyle?
Is it for small buck or you want to be at the top 1%?
There’s a saying
“when your WHY is big enough, your HOW will show up”
I have had different people tell me their reasons for freelancing
I have noticed that the people that had the biggest WHYs had the highest staying power
(i.e they didn’t waver at all during thick and thin)
So I told Sandra to discover her WHY
The second thing I told Sandra
2. Prepare for REJECTIONS and DRY SPELLS
The best of the best freelancers get rejected so why not you
Freelancing is a numbers game
And the numbers won’t be in your favor at your early stages
Your percentage ratio gets better as you grow
You also need to prepare for dry spells as a freelancer
There will be periods where you will be doing everything right
but you WON’T get results
It’s just a phase, and there are things you can do to take advantage
When you are prepared for rejections and dry spells you won’t be demotivated
And like all phases, it will pass
Next I said, Sandra
3. Refrain from COMPARISONS
Never ever compare yourself with another freelancer
Yes you can be inspired, but Don’t compare
It’s a fast track to DEMOTIVATION
One mistake freelancers make is to compare themselves with another freelancer with results they admire
No two freelancers are the same
Even if they offer the same skills
You don’t know the experience they had before freelancing
Stay on course, Maintain your lane
Focus on your journey, Get better day by day
It’s a marathon not a sprint
Then I told her
4. Set REALISTIC Goals
You can’t jump from $100 to $10,000
Without passing $1000
Unrealistic goals will demotivate you instead of Motivating you
I told her;
There’s a difference between a dream and a goal and you need to know which is which
When you set unrealistic goals way higher than your capacity
You will always feel you are not doing enough
Then you get demotivated
Finally I told her
“Sandra no one is coming to save you, you are the driver of your journey”
5. Practice SELF MOTIVATION
Freelancing comes with Good, bad and Ugly days
You enjoy the good days and motivate yourself through the bad and ugly ones
With your WHY (number 1)
You brood over a rejection or loss of client etc for a short period
Then get to work again
The best form of motivation is always SELF MOTIVATION
So there you have it,
5 tips I told Sandra to help her stay motivated as a freelancer
1. what’s your why
2. Prepare for rejections and dry spells
3. Refrain from comparison
4. Set realistic goals
5. Practice Self motivation
I hope you learnt
And you can stay cool no matter what freelancing throws at you
So you can smile back with testimonials like Sandra
