@brookieej6 @Diazj1815 I am in the same boat, paying my own way but I did not qualify for FAFSA. I understand universities are often required after juco. My point being, you do not have to chose a crazy expensive university because it’s your dream school.

I understand student debt is a problem for many, but why do people “HAVE” to go to their “dream college” and spend 40+ thousand a year? Juco’s exist folks, and they’re CHEAP. Also stay in state. Do things to help yourself out...am I the only one?

@Diazj1815 That goes for lower paying degrees in general. Another related point is that I think people need to consider going into the trades. College isn’t for everyone and you can make amazing money in the trades with zero debt.

@Diazj1815 But with the current circumstances being expensive higher education, I think that more people need to do what they can to help themselves out. You don’t HAVE to go to Duke(random example) to get an elementary Ed degree.
