@PaulJDavies @opinion I think the more accurate conclusion would be that there may be an over-reliance on dominant windows servers. These servers were affected in regardless of whether a bank used a Cloud partner or not.

If you understand the root cause of the CrowdStrike outage, you will see that CrowdStrike users running on Linux servers were unaffected. ONLY Windows servers running CrowdStrike were down.

@Kahlissee I empathise, would be awful. That said, the “would we take our child to hospital if we were intentionally hurting them..” reasoning doesn’t work. The intent behind the injury is irrelevant here. The authorities need to follow process to protect the child. Rioting isn’t answer.
