@Malachians@terryflewers Yeah I agree they are, pressing is a weak link system though unfortunately and I think we have such big drop offs in certain positions physically it’s hard to make up for that.
Makes next season even more exciting though physical floor and individual ability will be higher
@Malachians@terryflewers They are all professionals Phil, like in all sports there are always bigger, faster more physical players ect otherwise it would all be pretty much neutrality across the board. In some ways we have seen that in the Prem as all squads are more evenly matched physically.
@Peter_Bukowski I don’t remember Parsons hardly talking about him last year, but he talked about LVN a lot.
Do we think Gary got upset about the Parsons trade?
@Muppetiers I think a 4-3-3 has to be also considered as a tactical tweak. Attack is very narrow when we play the front we are currently playing as they all gravitate to central positions barring maybe amad.
Seems to be hugely lost in the discourse that it is also the Managers and his coaches job to get their players ready to play each match in any sport, in fact it is one of their main jobs.
Players not being switched on/indecisive is not a get out of jail free for the manager
Much of the criticism directed at Manchester United centres on Ruben Amorim’s tactics, but many of their issues stem from basic individual errors too. Both of Thiago’s first-half goals came from simple long balls United failed to defend.
For the opener, Maguire rashly tried to play Thiago offside when Jordan Henderson launched it forward. He was too late, but it was a suspect decision to even try it. Thiago is not especially pacy, and Maguire is an aerially dominant defender.
Matthijs de Ligt was largely to blame for the second, misjudging the flight of a Sepp Van den Berg ball into the left channel. Thiago’s chest-down to Kevin Schade was excellent link-up play, and when Altay Bayindir parried Schade’s shot back into his path, Thiago squirmed it under the goalkeeper for a deserved two-goal cushion.

@Muppetiers@Muppetiers can’t wait to watch that Mbuemo / amad combination grow down the right hand side. Could see the understanding building as the burnley game went on, going to be a real problem for opposing teams.
@Muppetiers I appreciate the thought of pre planning. But your captain playing for a year knowing he has eye watering money at the end of the tunnel is ludicrous. Not many humans on this planet could fully apply themselves to the present knowing what was down the line for them…..
@SiClancy Really odd, when seemingly Jumbo had managed to get Tadej isolated on previous occasions. To self destruct like that on Stage 12 is stunning like you said and shows that mentally no matter what they say Pogacar is completely in their heads
@JacobWestendorf Man I love it, Haffley going to have so much to throw at Defences now. I don’t remember a GB defence ever having speed like this to play with. Big boys will still need to get it done upfront on early downs though.
FULL-TIME! Saints 0-33 Leicester Tigers. Derby-day defeats don't come much more painful than that. Saints held scoreless on their own turf. Tigers twisted the knife with a bonus-point try late on. Play-off hopes all but over now.
