genshin impact is so confusing because the music team and the environment team clearly do extensive research and put a lot of thought and care into their portrayals of culture and then there’s the character design team

natlan music is amazing. they wrote a whole anthem for the nation but people will literally look at these lyrics (swahili, widely spoken in sub-saharan afric) and see these instruments and continue to deny influence
