@LornaMoxham Yea it is. It made a huge difference to me and where I want to spend my new grad year and the culture in some of the wards in different hospitals well they were disgusting. I chose to work in GP. I had no interest in being in an environment toxic like I experienced.
@LornaMoxham As an RN in GP I see this everyday. We have people walk out stating they cannot pay this kind of money. At my practice the Drs will take into consideration the individuals circumstances, but the Drs need to be paid at a fair rate also.
@Nina_Compact This was me. Still now I’m not that feminine but not once was ever suggested that I was a male. No one looked twice or cared. We need to care less about other’s appearances and more about who they are.
AEFI are real and scary. 1st dose of Pfizer on Thursday and I won myself a code blue ticket to resus. Please be vigilant whilst vaccinating. #pfizer#AEFI#COVID19Vaccine Thank you to the wonderful Drs and Nurses at The Wollongong Hospital #TWH
As a nurse I was taught empathy and active listening were key to building therapeutic relationships. Why when I’m the patient is the nurse unable to do this. I don’t do things to make their lives hard I do it to make mine easier. #allergiessuck#justlisten
@LornaMoxham I was also told this just 3 years ago. Now I’m told every day I work that just by talking to my patients I’m making a difference to them. The patients and the drs thank me for the job I do. Its an important part of the holistic approach to nursing #gpn
@LornaMoxham I would love to be a mental health nurse but i was told that if I didn’t go and nurse in a hospital and get a clinical background first that everything I learnt at uni would be wasted. Nursing is so much more then the ‘clinical stuff’
