In 12th-century England, villagers in Woolpit found two children inside a wolf pit—a boy and a girl, around seven. They spoke gibberish, wore unfamiliar clothing, and most strangely of all, had emerald-green skin.

This is the legend of the Green Children of Woolpit. Adopted by a local nobleman, they ate only raw beans at first. As they adapted to a normal diet, their green skin gradually faded. Once they picked up English, they told a baffling story:

"We came from St. Martin's Land, a twilight realm where the sun never shines and everyone has green skin. Chasing our father's stray cattle, we followed them into a strange cave, heard ringing bells, passed out... and woke up in the wolf pit."

A sunless realm sounds a lot like the subterranean world. The way they got lost even recalls Admiral Byrd's account. The boy passed away, but the girl grew up and married.

Skeptics write it off as lost Flemish immigrants with plant toxicity misread as green skin. But medieval records explicitly specify green, not yellow. If the green children were real, their world was real too.

Was it the subterranean world after all?

@sorana_xxxx Hey did u ever play Let it Die? I thought it was strange and boring at first but the more I played it the more of a craving I got to keep going. I never did finish it and it got discontinued...Or rather the server was recently taken down and it runs solely offline. It was fun tho
