How do job applicants contest a discriminatory decision of an AI-based hiring system? I argue that notice that AI has been used and an explanation of how it works are critical. See my latest paper in the Australian Journal of Labour Law: https://t.co/AZixfCn7fy #AI#hiring#adm
@ACTHealth Thanks for the information. Victoria is still a geographical area of high risk so I can’t visit my mum even if I can come to the ACT (which makes no sense). What I am asking is when will this change?
@ACTHealth I live in Melbourne. When can I visit my mother in aged care? Due to the restrictions, I have not seen her since March. Her condition is deteriorating. We are both double vaxxed. There is nothing in the roadmap about this situation. Is this in her best interests?
@ACTHealth When will aged care open? And when will it open to people from other states? I live in Melbourne and have not seen my mother in aged care in the ACT for over six months. We are both fully vaccinated. What is the plan for this sector?
@ACTHealth When will the ACT public health advice for high risk settings be reviewed? I live in Melbourne and have been unable to see my mother, who lives in aged care, for months. Even when there have been no cases in Victoria, this advice has not changed.
@trevorpaglen @FondazionePrada @wiretapped It reveals the deep problems with classifying humans - be it race, gender, emotions or characteristics. It's politics all the way down, and there's no simple way to 'debias' it.
@trevorpaglen @FondazionePrada @wiretapped ImageNet is one of the most significant training sets in the history of AI. A major achievement. The labels come from WordNet, the images were scraped from search engines. The 'Person' category was rarely used or talked about. But it's strange, fascinating, and often offensive.
