The ppl believe the strikes are about pay, meaning once a pay settlement is agreed, the public will think it’s ‘sorted’. Plays into govt hands as they will then say ‘we’ve given teachers what they want so now they can shut up’

But all the polls say it’s workload, behaviour and toxic leadership that cause teachers to quit or consider it. Unfortunately whatever the outcome of these strikes, it will have minimal net impact on the deep problems in the profession IMO.
