it’s probably one of my favourite ever aspects of the show and i think it was done and explained perfectly too. and i love that one of the two main characters is directly connected to dragons and was raised by one as well, it’s such a cool part of natsu’s background

also, maybe because i’m a dragon nerd and they are my favourite mystical creatures, i really think fairy tail’s lore is good bc of the dragons alone. i love how so much of the story is connected to dragons and how ancient dragon slayer magic really is

for all it’s worth, i think fairy tail is a great story. it has its flaws, but tbf i didn’t pay attention to them at all through my rewatch.

it’s an amazing story about friendship and family, and the “friendship is power” stuff doesn’t feel cringe or cliche here. on the contrary, it feels natural and is done well imo. also the bonds that characters have with each other are written so good and naturally.
