Why are you still holding a grudge over who hurt you, who walked away, what you didn’t get? That didn’t stop God’s plan. What they did is not going to keep you from your purpose. God saw it and He has a plan to bring you out better.
A lot has happened this year, and I think the one thing that has affected me the most was losing one of my best friends. That’s one thing I think I’ll never recover from.
They’re saying it could be 8-10 weeks before TDS restores internet connectivity. The main hub for Ruidoso was destroyed. It would be cool if @elonmusk offered an emergency discount for @Starlink. Most don’t have $300 for equipment, especially after evacuation.

Do the right thing when it’s hard. Keep a good attitude when people are not treating you right. Go the extra mile when nobody is watching. You may not see anything happening on the outside, but on the inside, God is working. You’re getting prepared to go to new levels.
When you’re in difficult times, don’t sit around. Do something where God can see your faith. Make plans to get well, make plans to come out of that trouble, make plans for God to show out in your life.
My problem is, I can feel when I’m not wanted somewhere or when something I say isn’t cared about, but because I care so deeply about others I stick around or stay in communication and still look out for them 🙃 having a big heart sucks 😂
I will NEVER understand how people can be so bitter and unhappy while treating others with such disrespect. Life is so beautiful, you’re alive, and you have so much to be grateful for! Being kind and loving towards yourself and others is the best way to thank HIM! 🤍
You may not be able to see it; it’s buried under disappointments, under delays, people that did you wrong, mistakes you’ve made. But somewhere under all those ashes, a flame is still burning.
In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far.
As so many pointed out, I was present at Route 91-where so many lost their lives- and our community recently suffered another heartbreaking tragedy. NO ONE, including me, wants to continue to see senseless headlines or families ripped apart.
Try That In A Small Town, for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief. Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences. My political views have never been something I’ve hidden from, and I know that a lot of us in this Country don’t agree on how we get back to a sense of normalcy where we go at least a day without a headline that keeps us up at night. But the desire for it to- that’s what this song is about.
