Last week, the Delaware Land Protection Coalition and The Nature Conservancy hosted the Fourth Annual #Conservation Day at Legislative Hall.

TUESDAY, MARCH 4, 2025: The Nature Conservancy will be conducting prescribed burn operations at the Edward H. McCabe Preserve near the town of Milton today. Local residents and businesses are advised that smoke may be visible. The McCabe Preserve will be closed to the public.

Prescribed fire plays a critical role in the health of Delaware’s ecosystems and the well-being of nearby communities by encouraging growth of native vegetation, increasing biodiversity, minimizing the spread of invasive species, and recycling nutrients back into the soil.
