@DouglasDegenaa1 This photo has been around for years and I’ve always wondered about the backstory. They were probably all nude for swimming but if they had robes for photo ops why didn’t they all have them? Glad a couple of them didn’t bother with the robes for posterity!

Growing up as a gay teenager, there was a lot of social pressure to hide myself behind a false persona. When you live that way for long enough, you take on aspects of that false persona. Nudism is a form of radical self acceptance that helps you to discard those layers of baggage, and get back to the real you.

Being naked feels good, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg compared to the mental changes it brings about. I’ve never felt so confident and in-touch with who I am as I do now. That’s why nudism is so popular with the LGBT+ community, and why it’s so important that nudism is inclusive of us.
