Probable Purple Heron at Coombe Hill Meadows.
Initially disturbed from the southern canal drain, 50m E of the style bridge at the W end of the reserve. It flew along the drain briefly and then across the canals towards the long pool when lost to view.

@Wildwood_photos There was a Snow Goose on Swan Lake last Friday, 16th Feb. One has been regular on the Severn marshes and from Slimbridge's northern hides for many weeks. Not sure if same or different. There are also two white Greylags / farmyard Geese and Ross's Goose to confuse things.

Mediterranean Gull with full black hood just now amongst several hundred Black-headed Gulls on Horsbere Brook floods, just west of A38 near Twigworth Church. Also Sparrowhawk in the area.

@Stewchat I managed 60 during 10 years at a Walsall rural garden. Thought that was quite good. Since moving to Glos had 44 last year and 23 already this year.
