UST Inc.'s flagship project Karat showcases the company's most advanced engineering solutions, with its unique rail-string overpass representing a key technological achievement. For investors and partners, the complex serves as tangible proof of the reliability, safety, and maturity of the underlying infrastructure technology.

At the core of the structure is a composite string rail. Its fiberglass-reinforced body is assembled from two sections with offset joints, increasing structural strength while providing reliable electrical insulation. Inside the rail are 98 prestressed steel strands encapsulated in a specialized polymer compound.

This material not only protects the system from corrosion but also unifies the structure into a single monolithic element.

This combination of materials significantly reduces guideway weight while lowering infrastructure costs. In addition, the Karat guideway is fully electrified.

During testing at the #uSkyCenter, the #uBus successfully reached speeds of up to 120 km/h.

UST Inc. CEO Reviews Construction Progress of the uST Complex at Sosny Health Resort

UST Inc. CEO Nadezhda Kosareva paid a working visit to the construction site at Sosny Health Resort, where the new uST transport and infrastructure complex is under development. The project has entered an active construction and installation phase. Work currently underway includes site clearing, excavation for future station foundations, and preparation for the installation of the track structure.
