Timely Extension of Tax Audit Due Date is NEED OF HOUR

Dear @IncomeTaxIndia,

1. The due dates are well known – ITR filing on 31st July and Tax Audit Reports (TAR) on 30th September. Which provides enough time of 2 months gap for Audits. NORMALLY 2 MONTHS GAP IS SUFFICIENT.

2. This year, due to late release of utilities and persistent portal failures, the ITR due date itself was extended only up to 16th September. As of today, 19th September 2025, only 11 days remain for completing the entire tax audit PROCESS. YOU ALREADY AWARE OF SITUATION

3. Two months of audit work cannot be compressed into 14 days. Audit is not a mere filing exercise; it requires planning, verification, and quality reporting. WE NEED ENOUGH TIME

We don’t need extensions your so called world class portal does.
7 crore ITRs in a 140 crore country and the system still crashes.
Maybe fix that before preaching deadlines.
