I am not sure how did poster, and many such as him, determine results being catastrophic by looking at a short video and not knowing much more about the rules of separation between aircraft, what the ATC saw, what both the aircraft saw on their screens and IndiGo saw on visual.

The term is not “de-roster” but “cooling-off” for ATCOs to enable them to recover from an event, I am told. An ATCO may be off-rostered later though. (Updated to include picture below)
