THREAD ALERT: Today’s Huthuba has called all IT professionals to help parents in protecting their kids when they are online. Since my background is IT Security and having conducted several Internet Safety Awareness programs including parental controls here are some recommendation

All I can say is, stop letting your politicians put BML in the firing line and get away without any accountability. We are in the USD mess because of politicians' refusal to be strict with the tourism industry. BML policies are a byproduct of a bigger problem.

This is so painful. Oh Allah, unite her and all of them with their loved ones in Paradise.

As Netflix is under fire for sexualizing kids, this is actually the perfect timing for https://t.co/mL1viehAta, a movie and streaming site for Muslims. The site is gorgeous and has a lot of very interesting documentaries.

Lowering your gaze is such a comprehensive protection. And it doesn't just mean lowering your gaze from what is inappropriate. Also lower your gaze from what doesn't concern you, from the faults and private matters of others.

"Vindhu Dhiyaee Gelligen." A song for my beloved brother, who was stolen from us 6 years ago.

May God bless his soul, Aameen.

How will this impact the recovery effort? Food, water, medicine, in the aftermath of a massive explosion, and during a pandemic and economic crisis?

What does hope look like?
It looks like running between two mountains inspite of the pain and inspite of the fact that it already "failed" last time (and the last 6).

Yahya was living in the Maldives on a Resident Visa with his Maldivian wife when he was arrested on 03 March 2017 under a court warrant. The Criminal Court had issued the warrant based on a police intel report.

We spoke to the Indian migrant workers who protested in Hulhumale on 6 July.

They are employed by a company called Island Expert to build the police flats in Hulhumale. The following three videos shows the appalling conditions they've been forced to live in.

[Thread] The extent of #humantrafficking in Maldives has been highlighted in all the studies done in this area in the past 10 years. Here are some of the findings from those studies.

While you are at it, visit all the resorts under construction and see if there are more victims of human trafficking! @PoliceMv

This is Jericho, Palestine. The oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, in the Jordan Valley. It will be annexed on July 1st by Israeli occupation forces, locking over 20,000 Palestinian residents & impeding access to neighbouring Palestinian cities - suffocating them.

Kenyan woman says she was raped on board a #Maldives safari. She told local website that police arrested the two suspects from the jetty, but let them go saying they were relatives of the president. She says @PoliceMv did not do a rape kit exam or take her to the hospital

[hidhea 🍉 @HidheaEfram]

When a person jumps off a boat in the dead of night into the sea with no fear of death but a fear of getting brutalized and says that she’s been raped, you hope and pray that the system in place to ensure justice and her safety works.
Accountability @PoliceMv!
