"I still had this anger that I can't control"
But you never angered your boss at work, or your pastor, or the bus conductors & touts at a motor park. It's your own husband, the man that married you and put a roof over your head that enjoys this bad side of you. Wow! 😂
State Police: Commendable Step, but Disorderly Legislation Raises Concerns of Political Misuse
The recent passage of the State Police Bill by the National Assembly marks a significant legislative milestone in addressing a long-standing demand of the Nigerian people. For years, many of us, alongside security experts and regional stakeholders, have consistently argued that a highly centralised policing structure is fundamentally unsuitable for a country as vast, diverse, and complex as Nigeria. However, the legislative and constitutional implementation appears shaky and raises legitimate concerns.
The process should involve greater community participation. Policing should be more visible at the local government and community levels. The mechanism for passing the law appears highly disorganised, with no public hearing on such a sensitive issue. Indeed, the rush to enact the law without proper legislative procedures fuels suspicion among many observers about the political motives behind it.
The greatest concern does not arise from logistical issues; it stems from history. There is a widespread, justifiable fear that state police forces could become instruments in the hands of governors. The suspicion is that a state-controlled police force could be weaponised to suppress political rivals, disrupt opposition rallies, and manipulate elections.
For state policing to evolve from a risky political gamble into a genuine security solution, the law must not only permit states to establish police forces but also clearly provide for independent oversight bodies, such as a state-level Police Service Commission that is entirely free from executive influence, to ensure that policing serves the public interest rather than the interests of the ruling elite.
Going by what Nigerians have seen so far, there is no guarantee that this administration can resist the temptation to take advantage of state policing to influence the 2027 general election by proxy. In view of that possibility and the danger it poses to the polity, it is necessary to defer its implementation until after the general election.
A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
Flying Toke Makinwa and over 1,400 useless delegates to Dubai was apparently affordable.
But sponsoring a few of Nigeria's brightest minds to China to represent the country at an international mathematics competition was not.💔
Fvcking retards!
The way they will not block the men “disturbing” them but will block you as their partner for a misunderstanding is the same way they act normally and courteously to their colleagues, boss, and outsiders but disregard their partner when on their period.
We all know what we are doing.
Well, If as a spouse, we have a disagreement and you block me and unblock me, i would ignore it the first time, the second time, i will be the one blocking, not on phone but in life. It depends on the person you are dating or married to.
I personally don’t take nonsense.
I hate threatening people. Because usually, it's not a threat. I have thought about a series of action that I have to take to make the threat true and they're usually inconvenient. And I do not make a threat but as a last resort.
I put relationships before money. But sometimes, some people just want to punk you and there's nothing I abhor more than getting punked.
But usually, the threat works and you don't even have to follow through on the actions.
Which begs the question, why do people wait to get threatened before they do the right thing?
It's highly stressful to put a lot of thought into something and possibly have set the action in motion, only for the threat to be enough.
Like bro, all you needed were words? Why didn't you just do the right thing to begin with so we can all avoid the stress of having to make a threat.
1. Disrespect. I will never tolerate any woman who talks back at me or doesn't listen to me when I speak.
2. Cheating.
3. Not knowing how to cook: I'm not dating any woman below 20. So there's no reason why she shouldn't know how to cook. And she must like or enjoy cooking.
4. Lack of transparency.
5. Taking major decisions without my knowledge and/or consent.
6. Refusing to be controlled: If I cannot control you, I cannot do long term relationship with you.
Above all, love God.
You texted me and told me I’m very handsome and I billed you for my gym premium subscription and you ghosted, it’s okay if you’re struggling as a woman but don’t go around admiring men that are not on your level.
End.
If I am a rich man, I'll only continue to enjoy women & be kind to them, but I will not marry another wife.
Except I have a bad wife.
And I'll not have any kids outside of my marriage.
Except I do not have kids.
Polygamy is disastrous mostly when the man is dead.
He mostly leaves behind hatred, envy, entitlement, and a dysfunctional family.
AJD.
No. Men treat you the way they want to be treated at the beginning.
Over time, they start treating you the way you treat them.
Men don’t change… they adapt. No announcement or drama. They simply adjusted their effort and energy to match yours. Reciprocity is very important to men.
You are unlikely to ever be as rich as Dangote, and you have already missed the boat to fame as either an athlete or an artiste. But you have gained immortality by your efforts in pursuit of a sustainable and relevant educational system for the youthful victims of Nigerian..👏🏿
Parents and relatives who pardon, condone or settle with perverted adults who sexually abuse minors are reprobates.
They should be prosecuted along with the culprits.
How do you look at a child and get erection as a man?
It’s unspeakable evil.
Since Peter Obi lost the election. He has donated 100s of millions of his own personal money.
There's no doubt that the loss has not affected his personal lifestyle in any way.
How many Nigerians can say the same?
How many people can say their lives are not affected by the catastrophic policies of the current government?
