The weight of guilt and shame can be heavier than any prison sentence. Sydney is gone forever; those left behind must live with the pain, while the accused must live with the burden of what happened. Justice must take its course.
Old pictures of Uhuru Park from better days. When the Team University graduate took office, many expected a facelift. Instead, the park seems to have enrolled in a master's program in neglect and is now graduating with distinction.
@onsongo_k@barrack_gumba@moneyacademyKE Helping fight HIV, malaria, TB, and other diseases. Much of this work has been supported by donor funding. If we gladly accept donor funds to protect the region's health, we should also invest in the infrastructure needed to detect, isolate, and respond.
@Papalefty2@edgarobare Village logic won’t build justice. You don’t jail entire families for tragedy.
That’s not justice, that’s just noise dressed as anger, it’s just lazy thinking.
@barrack_gumba@moneyacademyKE Kenya is a regional health hub and has helped lead malaria vaccine research, HIV prevention, and infectious disease response across Africa. If for Quarantine and isolation centres for preparedness then okey for country that leads in healthcare. But I know they will be stealing.
Utumishi Girls reminds us that safe student housing is necessity in every public school. Housing levy funds must be used to prioritize safe, modern accommodation for our children. If we can build homes for adults, we can build safe dormitories for our children. #madarakaday
@TheChalkRabbi@moneyacademyKE You're absolutely right... Rwanda could be paying membership fees for a club it cannot afford to leave, and the dues are actually a bargain given what it gets in return.
@nayore@moneyacademyKE Dude, you cannot compare the size of those two economies even if you were to round off .Uganda's economy is nearly four times larger than Rwanda's. Uganda has a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of approximately $54 billion, while Rwanda's GDP is around $14 b.
@cbs_ke ...try crossing it on foot or a bike. We’re designing the city for the 20% who own cars and forgetting the 80% who walk, cycle, or use matatus. Tunahitaji morden walkways, protected cycle lanes, na green corridors
@TheChalkRabbi@moneyacademyKE Rwanda and Uganda equality is most likely a rounding off in early estimates. When the Secretariat publishes final numbers from July 2026, there will likely be a small but real difference between the two.
People are opposing an Ebola treatment or isolation facility mainly due to fear, misunderstanding, and trust issues, rather than the facility itself.
There is also a strong lack of trust in government communication, leading some to assume risks are being hidden.
Ebola is often misunderstood.
Here is how Ebola is actually transmitted.
Ebola spreads through direct contact with infectious body fluids of a sick person, such as:
blood
vomit
diarrhoea
saliva
urine
semen (even after recovery for a period)
Ebola can also spread through:
Contaminated needles or medical equipment
Touching surfaces/items freshly contaminated with these fluids (in a clinical setting without proper cleaning)
It does NOT spread through air like flu or COVID-19 in normal conditions.
@NyakundiReport There are questions that need clarity regarding the Utumishi Girls incident. Official timeline, and who is handling evidence, were there CCTV records ect. Transparency and independent oversight are key for public trust.
