@Kasparov63 Why are you amplifying AI-generated propaganda? Look at the left side of the glass structure changing position when crossing the attackers arm.
@boomiethepiggie@WARDOGSUpdates If an Arma 3 IFV sees you for a second you will not be marked on the map for for the enemy infantry to see your every move for the next 30 seconds.
@BattleNonSense I totally agree with you, but sadly a game that you and me would love to play would never be commercially viable.
I actually plan to work on a competitive non-commercial KOTH without progression with in-round challenges for Arma 4 when it releases. DM if interested.
@XeroMindedSY@BattleNonSense Aggressive progression systems that make low-level players totally unviable against high-level ones give gratification to unskilled people, thus reaching broader audiences and succeeding.
@XeroMindedSY@BattleNonSense Spotting people or driving a truck for 30 hours is not a challenge though, the success is guaranteed and no skill is required. Landing a 500 m headshot is a challenge, getting a 15 kill streak is, killing 5 people with 1 mag, getting the most kills, shooting down most helis, etc.
@BattleNonSense@WARDOGS I understand that most modern gamers will not play a game without progression. And I am can concede OP weapons being behind the progression, as Arma 3 KOTH has. But putting OP armor behind it is evil. Turns high level players invincible to low level ones.
I put together a video going over the most damning parts of the EU Kids Act. It would make playing unsupported games online in the EU illegal, no joke. This is way bigger than SKG, most of the industry seems to be sleeping on this.

@lunarbunten@hatsondogs_ That's exactly how it is implemented. You just don't see the environmental fog at short render distances like on this screenshot.
@NickRebornTV Maybe if they allow servers to ban certain items, and there will be a server that bans all armor higher than level 1, artillery, tanks, mortars, armed helicopters, armed and armored Humvees, I will get back to the game. Otherwise, I will probably visit only after the wipes.
@NickRebornTV I don't think they will change it. It's just not the game for you or me. In Arma 3 KOTH Level 1 player with the first free rifle can kill a level 200 player with the best armor with 1 headshot from 300 meters away. That's good, but most Wardogs players don't want that.
@Kodiak8221@OGBeattie@Brammflakes@That_CS_Alfredo Apart from that, turn off Lumen Global Illumination. Will get to over 120. Also, I think the game is balanced around it off, because you can barely see anything in dark places with it on while everything is clearly visible with it off.
@pegvvin@cmuratori@htmx_org "Normalize" does not make all of them like that. You choose yours we choose ours. And also thinner often means heavier, since you need to use more metal for structural rigidity if you have less thickness to work with.
@Brammflakes@WARDOGS Humvee glass should be breakable with a couple of mags. Like in Arma. They should not just drive safely surrounded by enemy infantry.
@cheesedtomeatya@Brammflakes@WARDOGS I tried using RPGs against the armed Humvees. They easily tank the first hit and drive off around the corner before I reload. They should reliably explode after the first hit. Being protected from bullets is powerful enough.
@Brammflakes I think it might be because not many unlocked suppressors yet. If you are hidden and suppressed, it is annoying to change positions after every kill, knowing that the enemy now knows where you are.
Also the fact that everything is a tracer, hiding is useless anyway.
@ZIIIQ__@Brammflakes Yes, mid range barely exists, but it is only because AR headshots don't kill IMO. If I can headshot (and kill) a sniper back with an AR (like I can in Arma), the sniper problem is solved.
@ZIIIQ__@Brammflakes Adding battlefieldy spread would just disqualify the game for many more hardcore players. If a bullet artificially randomly turns from the point of aim at ranges under 200 meters it is unplayable for me and many others.
