@HassanShibly@Nero We're living in a time of smoke and mirrors. People have to exercise caution. True intentions are eventually manifested by action, whatever they may be.
@mehdirhasan Astonishing that this argument has been continuously espoused by so called intellectuals when there is such a gaping hole in its foundation: there is no legal basis for such a right.
I have kept in touch with Imran Khan over the years. When I asked him why he was getting involved in politics, his exact words were, 'I want my country to be the country it can be.'

@Klaxon_News It is hard to fathom the government didn't know this. Transparency is required as to why the appointment was allowed given this information.
@DavidShoebridge Well done David. 100%, there's no question about compromise when it comes to a genocide. More respect to the Greens who have maintained a principled position.

The captain extraordinaire!
4 runs to win for Australia. Last over to be bowled. Greg Campbell on strike. Simon O'Donnell at non-striker’s end. What Imran does on next 6 balls in a masterclass of captaincy and an art slowing the game down.
A thread on that.

🇵🇰IMRAN KHAN DEFIANT DESPITE APPALLING JAIL CONDITIONS
After being held for almost a year "in violation of international law," according to the United Nations, Imran described his conditions in one of Pakistan's maximum-security prisons.
"I am confined in a 7ft by 8ft death cell, typically reserved for terrorists to ensure they have no contact with anyone.
It is solitary confinement with barely any space to move.
I am under constant surveillance by the agencies, being recorded 24/7, and I am denied basic prisoner and human rights such as visitation.
These games are being played to break me and my party, but by the grace of the Almighty, nothing has or will succeed."

"Exclusive: Imran Khan Talks to Me From Prison"
Another Zeteo exclusive: my interview with the former Pakistani prime minister, who tells me about his dire prison conditions, his view of the U.S. & the Pakistani military, & why the world should care:

The thing about Imran Khan is that he is not only loved by the majority of Pakistanis but also by many Muslims and non-Muslims in the world. He also resonates with cricket fans around the world. A rare breed indeed.
A person like him benefits Islam, Muslims, Palestine, and world peace and harmony a lot. A lot indeed.
So, this is my message/request to leaders of the Pakistani Army.
Dear Generals,
with all due respect,
please, please, please untie the lion from his chains and let him roar.
After all, he won the last elections by a landslide.
He deserves to be running the country, serving the Ummah, defending the faith, not counting the days and nights behind bars.
@ImranKhanPTI@PTIofficial
I'll be honest, this was one of the strangest interviews I've ever done. With someone behind bars. Abroad. Unable to do follow-up questions with him.
But an interview nevertheless of immense news value.
