The Sony and Playstation I know is gone, its hard to stay a fan when they keep giving more bad news after another but killing physical game disc is the straw. I will support physical media and I will champion it

Not producing Physical Disks anymore is an extremely bad idea. I believe PlayStation will still offer an optional attachable 4K Blu Ray Disk Drive for the upcoming PS6, not just so that people can play their games but also people use their PlayStations to watch their DVD & Blu Ray Collections.

It would be unwise not to sell a disk drive because then you will lose money you could make on selling disk drives so that people can watch their movies and play the games they own.

Since the PS6 will include a handheld, that is probably the main reason that they don't want to produce disks anymore since it will obviously be a digital download only device but the home box should still have a disk drive attachment.

As for ending the PS3 & Vita stores it was bound to happen but they should have just waited to do that until the launch of the PS6, since the PS6 will likely have backwards compatibility and remasters for PS3 games.
