Ian Lavery, Jon Trickett & Laura Smith. For Labour led by organised working class communities in all corners of UK, showing folk we’re on their side. Socialism
The ruling class are waging war on workers.
This weekend hundreds of thousands of workers are fighting back.
I will be on the picket lines. Will every single one of you?
UK billionaires increased their wealth by over £55 billion last year.
UK workers real wages are set to fall by almost 8% this year.
Wealth doesn’t trickle down, it’s hoovered up.
The Tories answer to everything
• corporate tax cuts
• privatisation
• attacks on workers rights.
These policies have left working people poorer and our country more unequal.
How about trying the opposite?
In January I submitted this Early Day Motion demanding Government action to tackle sewage dumping in our waterways.
The Tories refused to act.
We need a legal duty on the water companies to avoid sewage dumping; and we need a publicly owned water system.

Very sad to hear of that Giles Radice has passed away.
Although we disagreed politically, he was a great thinker and partly inspired our first paper "Northern Discomfort".
His seminal work "Southern Discomfort" continues marks our current political discourse.
There’s a famous quote from the billionaire businessman, Warren Buffet, where he says:
“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”
Look around the UK today and you can see the working class is fighting back.
Solidarity with the @ASLEFunion pickets at Newcastle this morning.
There’s something happening out there.
Great to see Ronnie Campbell @IanMearnsMP & @MayorJD

Ever wondered why Westminster seems so disconnected from the lives of working people?
A new report from @IPPR finds that just 7% of MPs come from working class occupational backgrounds.
Only 1% of Tory MPs and just 13% of Labour MPs.
This needs to change.
Let me tell you @BorisJohnson will board himself inside Downing Street and will have to be dragged out with a crane and a tow rope before he resigns. 🤷♂️
As Tory privatisation of the NHS has accelerated since 2012, the number of patients dying of treatable causes has “significantly increased” - according to analysis published in The Lancet.
It is a moral duty to take back control of our NHS from the greedy profiteers.
To avoid any doubt I will support the pickets tomorrow.
Railway workers kept the country moving during Covid - as did many others - we owe them respect, thanks, and decent treatment.
