@NABO_Official @CanalRiverTrust @CRTBoating Being pragmatic I think it is a good idea in this case. With 2 boats on the services, which is a curved bank so one end of the boat sticks out, and boats moored on the towpath, there is little room to get through.

So that is day one of the #BCNChallenge done for us. Most of it spent on the northern reaches, and in the main all very good, apart from Walsall locks of course, they are never good.

What’s the big boating event this weekend?! Yeah well ⁦@CRTBoating⁩ #CrickBoatShow I suppose, but it’s also the annual #BCNMarathonChallenge. Over 25 boats will be cruising as much of the BCN as possible. This year’s finish will be at Hawne Basin on Sunday afternoon.

@CRTBoating Shirley drawbridge on the North Stratford canal. The current powered lift bridge is rather notorious for car drivers running the red lights and either getting stuck on the bridge or smashing the barriers off.
