They can also help with climate change by using the reusing method, looking for better and more sustainable materials, creating sustainable structures, etc., these are all things that could help with climate change, especially since construction is a huge polluter.
I've seen many places where they have been a mudslide due to an increase in rain or a river overflows and floods a city of houses made of brick with tin roofs. Another example was the poor part of PR during the hurricane. These are communities that these stakeholders can help
Some of these stakeholders can reach out to these at-risk communities and offer to help in making their environment better, these stakeholders can ask for donations and be able to help many poor people who suffer from terrible losses and even death due to their conditions.
I see that more and more companies are making the switch to electric and it's a great move, this will greatly benefit the environment. People arent stopping the switch as much anymore and more people are slowly starting to embrace it.
One huge automaker, mostly in Europe but picking up here in the US too, Volvo, stated that they will go full electric by 2030. They said they will slowly start switching to hybrid and stop making fully combustible engines, and then switch to fully electric.
The two biggest incentives that lots of states offer are free tolls, and free rides on the HOV lanes, and also many of them offer tax credits of up to $7,500. More and more states have been added to the list as they are incentivizing the switch to EVs
One big benefit seen is how the government promotes free tolls and tax cuts on hybrid and electric cars. This way they encourage people to switch to sustainable products and save money.
For residential projects, the certification allows them to sell at a higher price and their houses/apartments usually sell faster. As we see, the US hit the nail on the head with creating the LEED certification and encouraging more and more people every day to go for it!
LEED buildings have faster lease-up rates and may qualify for a host of incentives like tax rebates and zoning allowances. Also, LEED-certified buildings retain higher property value.
How Can the Construction Process be Sustainable?

Tell Us One of the Sustainable Practices You do in your daily life OR a sustainable practice that you would like to adopt?
A sustainable practice I would like to adapt would be geared more towards my daily life, I would like to use less plastic and more locally grown produce.
One thing that blew my mind was reading on cigarette butt bricks. Taking all the excess butts and mixing them with typical brick building materials and creating bricks that be used for construction.
