📢 We got three BIG #FAFSA updates yesterday:
1. FSA began processing paper forms this week
2. Contributors w/out SSNs will continue to be able to manually enter their data into the FAFSA
3. Batch FAFSA corrections will not be available this cycle

In the coming weeks, we’ll digest this decision & consult with partners/experts on what it means for supporting students of color going forward. We’ll continue to work with our members, fight to mitigate this ruling's effects, & to find new ways to move forward. (4/8)
. @FAFSA announced today that the new #BetterFAFSA will be delayed until December 2023. Also included in the announcement:

$7,395 is my new favorite number here at @NCANetwork - the agreed upon historic increase to the max Pell Grant for the 23-24 academic year. On the road to #doublePell to address affordability for all students. #thankful4Pell

Yesterday’s student loan forgiveness announcement is a big deal, love it or hate it. But, there was more to it than $10 or $20K in forgiveness. Let’s talk about why the proposed IDR changes are huge for #todaysstudents. 🧵
👏 We applaud the closing statement: The Biden-Harris Administration will keep fighting to reduce the cost of higher education by working to make community college free and doubling the maximum size of the Pell Grant. https://t.co/Gh5tzxsqVZ👏
