@c_combe I've often thought companies should get rid of ranks, as these are really false incentives to get you to work harder and wait longer for recognition, instead your "importance" could be how many levels between you and the CEO. But perhaps that would just create "ego structures"?

@epballou@autismtalknd I'd suggest they are less inherently prone to aggression as they are less likely to pick up the aggression body language of others. Would be interested if any research on this?
@acotgreave I wonder if there was ever a "job for life", maybe it was more "know your place" Either way, niether are true anymore. Company directots have always taken advantage. I believe the current culture of treating employees as a commodity to be traded is a cancer on society.
