Today was my last Sports Day at North Cestrian. It was excellent to see so many of our students competing in the afternoon. Well done to all students and staff who made the afternoon run so smoothly.
Tomorrow is our Year 9 & 10 Sports Day. We aim to get started at 12.30pm. Please keep an eye out for the weather and make sure you are prepared. This will be Mr Stobbs’ final Sports Day at North Cestrian.
This Friday Mr Stobbs will be leaving North Cestrian after twenty one and a half years. Today was his last Year 7 & 8 Sports Day. It was excellent to see so many students taking part and enjoying the day. Well done to everyone who took part.
Tomorrow we will be holding our Year 7 and 8 sports day. It looks like it will be warm so please ensure you are prepared with suncream, a hat and water to drink. We hope it will be another excellent event. Good luck to all those who will be competing.
Well done to our girls who last week competed in the Trafford Schools Athletics Championships. Our top team on the day were our Year 9 girls with the top performance coming from Ophelia. Well done to all involved.

Our athletics programme continues despite the poor weather. This week the focus has been on long jump and the relay. Well done to all of our students for their resilience during the torrential downpours we have seen.
Our games field is currently looking amazing. A massive thanks to our Groundsman Neil for all of his hard work preparing them for our students and staff.
Tonight’s athletics has unfortunately been cancelled due to the poor conditions making it unsafe underfoot. Our next session will take place on Wednesday.
The games field has been looking fantastic this week. Our students have been completing athletics during their Games sessions this week. Monday and Wednesday we have seen the students attending athletics club.
