Wooo boy. Did Sergio damaging a tee box at the Masters cost LIV its PIF funding? According to this FT piece, it played a role in Yassir turning off the money spigot.
LIV Golf press release just confirmed that Indy concerts will not be happening.
Also, whichever team wins this week — even those in last-place in standings — will now claim season-long team title.
News for @TheAthletic: The DP World Tour has begun notifying LIV golfers that it is highly unlikely that “conditional releases” will be granted beyond 2026, per a source briefed on the matter.
No more deals to do away with fines and suspensions. https://t.co/gGuF5N6mu1
DP World Tour is stepping on LIV’s throat.
With PGA Tour bans in place for at least a year, they’ll draw significant commitments from former LIV players next season.
But you can’t do both anymore. Hard to picture a world where Rahm is not on the DP World Tour next year.
NEW: BC Partners only putting in money into LIV 2.0 if enough star players join. Stars first want their PIF guarantees. PIF wants to pay off guarantees at discount but wants liability releases too.

Arlo says that LIV "has secured investment for a 2027 season and beyond."
Which is (of course) not true.
O'Neil announced that a lead investor signed a term sheet. None of the details reported by other entities yesterday support that LIV Golf has secured investment for the 2027 season and beyond.
68 for Nelly Korda today moves her well into the top-10.
If she stays there, she will be the first player with four top-10s in majors - with multiple wins - in the same LPGA season since Inbee Park in 2015.
CBS: Most-watched 3M Open final round on record. Jackson Koivun pays off.
At 3.713M viewers, the 3M trails only the Heritage, Phoenix Open and Travelers among non-Players/major tournaments this year on the @PGATOUR
Dating back to last summer, Jackson Koivun has finished 11th or better in 6 of his last 8 PGA TOUR starts.

Already one of the best players in the world.
The Kouvin hype is deserved but if you ever want to understand why my generation of golf writers/podcasters can’t quit Spieth, just remember he went 1-1-4-2 in one year of majors when he was two years younger than Kouvin.
@NoLayingUp Need some discussion on the pod this weekend about how badass Dundonald Links is. Really enjoying the Women’s Scottish this morning. The course & conditions are flashing.
Even the color grading and saturation that NBC uses are pitiful. It’s wild how much better (and more natural/realistic) the world feed looks. The leaderboards and graphics have been a mess. Not to mention the actual substance of the broadcast. These people truly hate us. Meanwhile I’m also watching the world feed and it’s light years better (with less resources!)
We’re at the point where golf orgs need to be willing to accept less money from NBC’s competitors. Choking the life out of 2 of the 4 majors per year, plus the Ryder Cup. Their mission is to further the game and put it in the best possible light, I just don’t know how you can keep giving them the rights.
