@Lara_Fergie99 Thinking of you, Lars! You are literally the only reason I come back to this app. Thank you for keeping us updated. Sending you all the love from Boston, Massachusetts! Love, Nina Gemma the poodle
@Lara_Fergie99 Rooting for you always. You are literally the only reason I go on X. To see how you are doing. Sending you warm hugs from across the pond.
@BriannaWu@avygal You know, way more than but I what if people don’t have access to the surgery? Not only is cost and coverage and issue, but not everyone has access to sub specialists, who I would imagine in short supply… what about breasts? Why vaginoplasty?
@BriannaWu I’m so sorry, Brianna. I think of you often when I see something hateful. I respect you enormously for your informed, thoughtful, balanced approach to the need to balance human rights with some degree of pragmatism. Love, admiration, and support from your friend in Brookline.
@billkinkle Yeah, I actually like ED nurses. I think as a group they are generally very competent and I have had generally good experiences with them. They are doing a very hard job. But the general situation in the ED is tough as you know.
@billkinkle Trying to organize a directed mission right now to avoid the ED d/t CLABSI. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to be there. But I’m a little biased I guess because I’m desperately struggling not to go…
@KayeSteinsapir This is such soul-shaking writing. Devastating, profound, gripping. Sending you & fam all the love. May her memory be a blessing (it is!!).
@billkinkle Can you explain in for those who may not be aware how the Suboxone made it worse I’ve read about the dental decay concerns with sublingual Suboxone, but it’d be really helpful to understand more about how it made your lived experience so much worse immediately. Thank you.
@BrentAWilliams2 I know this does not count for that much of their budget, but bear in mind that it is an institution of last resort for patients, very sick with rare diseases. Ttm at the NIH clinical center, via one of their intramural studies, continues to keep me alive (& a productive).
Maybe I'm overly sensitive bc of my line of work, but why does *every single part* of this economy feel like an obstacle course? Booking a flight, seeing a doctor, getting insurance, finding housing, taking your animal to the vet... Are people just numb to all this?
