@loudribs Yep, pretty much anyone can make a video and pay Youtube to run it as an advert. Having an advert every two minutes in a 30 minute video finally tipped me over the edge and made me buy Premium. I just couldn't take it any more, you win Google, you win. There are bigger battles.

@eevblog The biggest mistake Microsoft made was calling this "Windows 11". It's a service pack with a name, that's all. Seriously, the "oh Windows 11 is garbage" meme is just the IT equivalent of crying over Musk buying Twitter. Just update your PC, it's not going to kill you, lol etc.

This is why people are recommending a switch and a wireless access point, they are the correct way to do this.

Some of these devices can act a bit strange when used outside their intended purpose (like they say their DHCP is off, but really... it's not) and hours of your life can be lost farting about.

@zenity_st @llamasoft_ox My way of fighting back was to go elsewhere more often. The advert algorithms don't care if you report adverts, it just helps tune them to show you ads you won't report.

@thoughtcat This all does need tighter integration. I've stopped sending confirmation messages to Teams meetings since all they do is email a terse one line message to the creator. Also in O365 outlook you can 👍emails, but not in the desktop Outlook.
