The NCPCF have received a position statement from the Consultant Respiratory Specialists with an interest in Cystic Fibrosis on the ongoing access issues to Kaftrio for children in Ireland with CF #Kaftrio #CF

We are pleased to confirm that as of 8th August 2021, Kaftrio with Kalydeco will be available through the HSE PCRS scheme for the treatment of PWCF aged 12 years and older who have at least one F508del mutation in the CFTR gene. #NCPCF #CF

As of 23rd February, People with Cystic Fibrosis whose disease is severe (this includes people awaiting transplantation) have been placed in vaccination cohort 4. People with stable CF remain in cohort 7 #NCPCF #CF #COVIDVaccine

The NCPCF is pleased to confirm that approval for Ivacaftor (Kalydeco), is now extended to include children with CF aged 4 months and older who have specific CF mutations. Families of children with CF can obtain details from their Specialist Paediatric CF Centre #CF #Kalydeco
