@the_gnomie One other clarification while I'm thinking of it.
I don't hold y'all accountable for Jon's actions, or Drew's.
The question is why didn't anyone advocate for people harmed to get resolution. To have things addressed directly and publicly.
@the_gnomie One little incident sucks to read. Minimizes the impact and over simplifies what happened. It also happened in June, August was after I found out he was rehired quietly weeks after.
I don't accept that we're powerless to deal with shitty dudes and terrible power structures that they built. Especially in 2026. We're very capable of building better. We're capable of challenging and improving places to be better.
I hope there's an understanding why people are generally perplexed when support for marginalized people is voiced but then actions don't reflect that too.
Just so I say it out loud:
Bear and Gabby have both been wonderful to me. I don't think they deserved to be piled on but I also think there's some good stuff to pull from all of this..if there's two people I think will hear me out, it's those two. Just so I'm clear about that.
I'm a firm believer that actions show priorities and it's obvious the shit that Drew does hasn't moved the needle for plenty of folks. I know Drew doesn't give a shit. I put my time, energy, skills, and resources to use for community and places that value it.
@bearbronsonBC@darksheikftf and being real, I'm still dealing with the affects of that incident. I'm still trying to heal that damage. I still rarely feel actually welcome in places. Because now there's always a caveat of, will people speak up if it's their friend that harms someone.
@bearbronsonBC@darksheikftf I can't fit a good response in twitter character limits. You guys get asked by others because you're there and visible a lot. Now carrying a belt. But people are just met with silence. Drew has a lot he's never answered for.
