📚🇮🇳 Opening Doors to Learning in Ladakh

On 25 June 2026, under Operation Sadbhavana, Fire & Fury Corps dedicated a modern library at Tangtse in the presence of Shri Nitish Rajora, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Changthang District.

Equipped with around 1,500 books and essential amenities, the library will provide students and local residents with a conducive environment for reading and learning, particularly during the harsh winter months. The initiative aims to enhance access to knowledge and educational opportunities for the community.

Under #OperationSadbhavana, Fire and Fury Corps conducted a Self-Defence Training Camp for students of Tia Middle School, Tia Village, equipping them with essential self-protection skills, situational awareness and personal safety techniques.

The initiative fostered confidence, discipline and self-reliance among the youth, empowering them to face everyday challenges with greater awareness and resilience.

Bringing Light to the Remotest Corners of Ladakh

Under #OperationSadbhavana, Fire and Fury Corps distributed 325 Home Solar Light Kits and 66 Solar Street Lights were installed for residents of the remote Trans Singela Region in Ladakh, bringing sustainable energy solutions to far flung communities.

The project was undertaken on request of Shri Chering Dorjay Lakrook, President of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) and was attended by GOC Fire and Fury Corps.

More than 300 beneficiaries attended the event and conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for its continued support and outreach efforts.

Shri Lakrook thanked Indian Army for the unwavering commitment towards the welfare and development of Ladakh. Living up to its motto, Indian Army continues to illuminate lives and strengthen its enduring bond with the resilient people of Ladakh.

Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today visited Government Medical College, Udhampur to inquire about the health and well-being of those who sustained injuries during the unfortunate road accident in Ramnagar, Udhampur on April 20.
The Lieutenant Governor was briefed by a team of senior doctors on the health condition of the injured undergoing treatment at the hospital. He directed the Hospital Administration to ensure the best possible medical care for their early recovery.

#GeneralUpendraDwivedi, #COAS visited Counter Insurgency Force (R), under the aegis of #WhiteKnightCorps to review the prevailing security situation and assess operational preparedness. He was briefed on ongoing counter-terrorism operations, the effectiveness of the security grid and measures undertaken to maintain sustained vigilance. Deliberations also focused on inter-agency synergy and the infusion of advanced technologies to further enhance operational capability.

#COAS commended all ranks for their unwavering dedication, professionalism and steadfast commitment to duty. He lauded their sustained efforts in maintaining a high state of readiness under challenging operational conditions. The interaction reaffirmed the Indian Army’s resolute focus on vigilance, preparedness and operational excellence.

Veteran Achievers Award: Recognising Contributions, Rewarding Excellence
