We recently hosted a Math Circle event to celebrate Fibonacci Day, and it was a tremendous success. We had an outstanding turnout from local familiesβabout 100 students registered, and more than 300 people attended overall.

Our Math Team had a fantastic time participating in the first Wolfpack STEM Tailgate outside Carter-Finley Stadium during FanFest before the football game! ππ¬ Throughout the event, the team showcased the exciting academic programs our department offers.
Andrew Sageman-Furnas studies the geometry of nets and he was involved in the research in figuring out the shape changes and implications of how to dance on the nets (imagine trying to stand, let alone *dance*, on a hammock!?).
