“The children who are sitting in their classrooms... could care less about whether we are Democrats or Republicans.” This is the message we need to be spreading.
I have nothing to say. Nothing any of us do matters. I can’t even wish condolences to the families - all of it is empty and meaningless. We have made sure that their pain is meaningless because it will happen again and there’s nothing we can do about it.
@nonpartisanmedi You know what, I won’t argue with that. I’ll just leave you with some advice; consider taking out party-based buzz words like ‘the left’ and ‘the right’ out of your content. That way you can call out individuals without calling out the entire group and deepening the rift.
@nonpartisanmedi ...to Nazi’s either. Twitter arguments solve nothing, I just felt that I needed to say something because nonpartisanship in media is an issue I feel strongly about.
@nonpartisanmedi Fam, I am attacking the message! Look, it’s nothing personal, I just personally don’t love waking up and seeing that my first notification talks about forcing ‘the insane left’ into a hunger games scenario. I don’t agree that we should just be comparing kids on TikTok...
@nonpartisanmedi I think that every party-based fanatic is a threat, and, as we’ve seen in the past, both sides can be! I’m not here to argue that, I’m simply saying that picking a side is partisan by definition.
@nonpartisanmedi That fact that you don’t see an issue with what you just said is the problem. It’s fine to have your own opinion - everyone does! Just don’t call yourself nonpartisan when that isn’t true because it sullies the reputation of those who actually try to be.
@nonpartisanmedi But the fact that you did not say that is what makes your statement partisan. Listen, I’m not upset because you called out that type of behavior, I’m upset that you only did so from one side of the aisle, and that inherently deepens the rift between Americans. Not what we need rn
@nonpartisanmedi Just to be clear, I don’t agree with that rhetoric either, but the mere fact that you didn’t also include ‘the insane right’ in that statement means that it is a biased statement. That is what it means to be partisan.
The peaceful transition of power is the hallmark of our democracy. Today's terrorism is not who we are. This attack on our country must be overcome. America is better than this. - RC
@AndrewPollackFL Fam you *literally* threatened gun violence yesterday lol. While I’m not necessarily an avid supporter of Biden, I’m definitely not a supporter of advocating for violence.
@JulietRoxspin @AndrewPollackFL@realDonaldTrump Honestly I just hate to see my country in shambles. Never thought I’d inherit a world where people are threatening literal violence over differing beliefs.
@Sigalicious1@AndrewPollackFL@realDonaldTrump Yeah? Shouldn’t we all be striving to “prevent school shootings by any means necessary?” Is wanting to attend school without fear not a “bipartisan” issue worthy of collaboration?
@davidpbj@AndrewPollackFL@realDonaldTrump That’s a bold stance. I love my country and the people in it regardless of their political affiliation - that’s what it means to be a true patriot. Can you say the same?
@Sigalicious1@AndrewPollackFL@realDonaldTrump Fair enough! Also, if you’d look at our platform you’d find that we don’t, in fact, support the abolishment of the second amendment - we advocate for bipartisan collaboration on major issues like ending American gun violence.
@twitt3rsux69420 @AndrewPollackFL@realDonaldTrump Lol you’d like that wouldn’t you. I love my country and the people in it regardless of their political affiliation - that’s what it means to be a true patriot. Can you say the same?
