.@RoanokeChowanCC's Weld to Work pipeline is helping North Carolinians develop skills for good jobs while giving local employers access to the skilled workers they need.

A $470,140 grant from the Southeast Crescent Regional Commission is helping expand welding training, add equipment, and provide tuition assistance so the college can serve up to 150 students each year. It’s a win-win-win for students, employers, and the regional economy.

North Carolina’s proud maritime heritage continues with the Whiskey Project Group’s new manufacturing facility in Edenton.

The facility is expected to create more jobs in northeastern North Carolina, strengthen our state’s role in the defense industry, and generate new opportunities for the people of Chowan and neighboring counties.
