Alhaji AbdulRaheem Oladimeji lost his parents at a young age and worked as a houseboy in Lagos. He later taught himself how to read and write.

In 1994, his son reportedly had a dream during Hajj about him establishing a university. Years later, that vision became Al-Hikmah University, established in 2005.

From someone who never had the opportunity to attend school to providing university education for thousands.

BREAKING: El-Rufai Speaks on Silence of Associates, Says He Bears No Resentment

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has addressed concerns over the silence of some of his former colleagues, friends and family members amid his current legal and political difficulties.

In a statement titled ���My Relationships and the Aftermath,” dated September 23, 2026, El-Rufai said he had chosen throughout his life to stand by people and causes he believed in, guided by his Islamic faith, Arewa upbringing, personal values and conscience.

He said his support for people was never based on expectations of praise, gratitude or reciprocity, stressing that those were choices he made freely and remained responsible for.

El-Rufai acknowledged that some people may now choose to speak, remain silent, deny relationships or “try rewriting history,” but said he did not wish to judge them simply because their responses differed from what others, or he himself, might have expected.

I welcome the commencement of construction of the $12 million Abuja Centre for Entrepreneurship, being developed at the SMEDAN Industrial Development Centre in Idu, Abuja, with support from the Republic of Korea through KOICA @KorEmbNigeria and in partnership with SMEDAN @SMEDANGov and UNDP @UNDPNigeria.

She did not start as an officer. She started as a recruit in Depot Zaria. 21 Regular Recruits Intake. Nigerian Army Medical Corps, January 1986. Rose to Warrant Officer. Then Executive Commission, Lieutenant, 2002.

In 2018 she became the first Executive Commission officer decorated Lieutenant Colonel. She was also the first commander of the Nigerian Army Women Corps.

In Maiduguri she worked out of 7 Division Hospital - morale, mental health, the unglamorous work beside the troops.

She gave Thirty-five years in service and Retired in 2021. The uniform left. The example did not.

I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Hafidh Ameir Hassan, husband of my dear sister and colleague, Her Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania @SuluhuSamia.

I know what this loss means to President Samia and her family. She has lost a lifelong companion, her children a beloved father, and the family one of its pillars. For almost five decades he stood quietly beside her, through every season of her service to Tanzania. A companionship of that depth becomes part of who a person is. To lose it is to lose a portion of oneself, and I feel for her deeply.

On behalf of the Government and people of Nigeria, and on behalf of my family, I extend my deepest condolences to President Samia, her children, the Hassan family and the people of Tanzania.

At moments such as this, the bonds that unite us as Africans matter even more. Nigeria mourns with Tanzania and stands with President Samia and her family in this hour of grief.

There is a dangerous myth that says you cannot become rich while living an honest life.

I strongly disagree.

Honesty may not always make you rich overnight, but neither does dishonesty guarantee wealth. There are people who have built extraordinary wealth through integrity, discipline, patience, knowledge, hard work and value creation.

To suggest that riches are only possible through cheating, corruption or exploitation is to misunderstand both life and God’s grace.

Allah can open doors for a person that deception could never open. He can place barakah in honest earnings, connect you with the right people, create opportunities where none seemed to exist, and give you success without requiring you to compromise your principles.

Don't let the corruption you see around you convince you that righteousness is incompatible with prosperity.

You can be honest & successful. You can be principled and prosperous.
You can refuse to cheat and still build wealth. Never make poverty your proof of righteousness, and never make wealth your proof of corruption.

Allah's provision is vast, and His grace is not limited by the dishonest ways of the world.
