⚡️BREAKING: Amnesty International welcomes the recognition of chattel enslavement of Africans as a crime against humanity at the U.N General Assembly, following a resolution tabled by #Ghana on behalf of the African continent and people of African descent.
The UN has adopted a resolution declaring slavery the gravest crime against humanity. Backed by Ghana’s President and the African Union, it calls for reparative justice including a global fund, apology, and return of stolen artifacts. Argentina, the U.S and Israel voted against.
