A big part of the push for synchronous instruction is that people equate teaching with standing at the front of a room talking to/at students. They need to see some version of that happening or else it means we are not working and kids are not learning #OntEd #distancelearning

Basically the entire educational system is currently realizing the only reason kids did the depersonalized, standardized, "grade-level" stuff in school is because we were holding them hostage at grade-point.

Learning only matters when it matters to the student.
