Miss Readon's 2nd grade class had a special guest reader during library time. We were pleased to welcome Mrs. Rita Meehan who read two holiday books to the students. Mrs. Meehan served as a nurse at NDES from 1976 to 1996. She was delighted to return and see all the new faces!
Congratulations to the 8th Grade Girls Gold Volleyball Team on winning their CYO Championship game last weekend! It was truly a team effort to secure this victory, and Coach Lateulere and Coach Sobochan couldn't be prouder of these ladies. Thank you for everyone's support!
Mrs. Biro’s kindergarten class has been learning about the five senses. Students enjoyed using their sense of sight to use science tools to look through and used their sense of taste to taste sweet, salty, sour, and bitter. Students especially liked the sour taste bud!
Fire Prevention Week
Thank you to the Munson Fire Department for visiting our school and teaching our students in kindergarten through grade 2 about fire safety and prevention. Your team made a serious topic engaging and fun for the students.
Mrs. Love's first grade class started the school year off in a positive way building friendships and kindness. They read "Our Class is a Family" and came up with five class promises. Each student made a class promise bracelet with a bead to represent each promise made.
Shark Tank
Sixth-grade students embarked on a multi-week project studying economics and entrepreneurship. Students worked in small groups to develop a business plan for an idea of their very own and a short presentation to pitch the "Sharks." They all did a fantastic job!
The NDMS Mock Trial team traveled to Columbus for a Mock Trial Showcase. Congratulations to Bryn Pelsozy & Sarah Kent who earned best witnesses and Avery Pavetti who was named best lawyer for her role as a defense attorney. We are so proud of the collaborative effort of our team!
