The older I get, the more I think consideration might be the purest form of love.
It’s thinking about how your actions will affect someone. Remembering their feelings before making a decision. Making room for them in the way you move through life.
In any kind of relationship, you can often measure how deeply someone cares by how much they consider you.
And maybe that’s why the opposite of love isn’t hatred. It’s indifference.
You shouldn't have to beg people to treat you better.
Not for basic respect. Not for reciprocated energy. Not for affection. Not for effort. Not for care. Not for emotional intelligence. If you have to ask for the bare minimum, you are not asking for too much you are asking the wrong person.
Basic things like showing up, communicating, caring, and reciprocating are not extras. They are not bonuses. They are the foundation. And if they are not there, no amount of convincing, pleading, or explaining will make them appear.
Because when someone truly values you, you will not have to beg. They will not make you feel like you are asking for too much. They will not make you feel like your needs are a burden. They will see you. They will hear you. They will show up. Not because you asked. But because they care.
