I am not advocating for adultery, much less polygamy.

I just do not think two adults having consensual intercourse should attract criminal investigation, @RIB_Rw or @ProsecutionRw.

A marriage is a CIVIL contract, therefore its breach should - like every other civil contract in Rwandan positive law- attract civil procedure: Arbitration, mediation, and potential monetary compensation. NOT CRIMINAL procedure. This is a basic principle of law.

Btw, the wife of the mayor retracted the accusation and the Mayor was released. Only his career and reputation have been irreparably damaged, whether he was innocent or not…
